Oh for the love of all things holy, my poor toe. I had to hike eight miles this morning, which is not far at all, except when it feels like your toe is about to burst and fall off. I still need to find someone to do something about that toe. It's getting red and angry, which I know is not a good thing.
The hike from Barrel Spring to Warner Springs is absolutely gorgeous though! Fields of tall grasses, lovely oak trees and a murmering brook. It would be a wonderful day hike. There isn't much uphill climbing, and it's mostly flat. Eagle Rock is out there too. It's an outcrop of rocks that is shaped like an eagle (which I think is how it got it's name...). I took my pic in front of it. I'll post it soon.
The Warner Springs Ranch is a cute little golf club, but people mostly come here for the hot springs. I'm about to go jump in there, and maybe soak some of the pain out of my feet. Now if could just do something about this toe....

Good luck with that toe! It sounds painful. Take it easy, I want to read that you have finished.
Oh for all things holy....lol, I love it. Take it easy out there, can you wrap it tight so that it doesn't rub or hurt as much? Just talked to your mom who said you were at the doctors waiting to get it checked out. Hope all is well with it. Have fun at the springs, I'm very jealous!! iris
All of us Woodcockers are very proud of you, Katie! I was thinking of you this weekend while Jacqueline and I were watching the moving "Into the Wild". It was really good, and a reminder to be careful what you eat!
Keep on bloggin!
