My first zero day. Not happy about it, but what can I do? I've got to take care of my feet.
I shared a room with another hiker by the name of Andrew. He's carrying a lot of heavy gear, so he got the trail name of Old School.
I don't quite have a trail name yet. Iwanna Sherpa named me Dromedary, because I did the first day with little water and survived with no problems. Then I was talking about my cats with Mapman and Robin, and was then named Catwoman. I appreciate that they gave me a name with their theme, but I was teased in gradeschool by that name, so I don't think I'll keep it. I'll get a name soon enough, one that fits me well, like Panic Attack or Oh Hell. (I'm kidding!)
A lot of hikers came through here today. I think I'm hiking faster than they are, so it's nice to know there will be familiar faces ahead. I'll be alone tonight, but at least I'm in a motel room, so it shouldn't be that scary. I hope my feet will be good tomorrow.
