I need to go into Bishop to resupply. I don't need food, but I'm sick and tired of my alcohol stove. It doesn't work in high altitudes. I'm tired of waiting for my water to boil while everyone else eats. I bought a Jetboil, and I don't think I'm going to be disappointed.
Bishop is an interesting town. There is definitely the older part of town, where there is a bakery that makes the best sandwich I've had yet. Fresh bread, fresh cheese, fresh meats, fresh veggies. Can you guess that everything is fresh? The place was called Schat's Bakery, and if you are ever in Bishop, CA, I highly recommend this place.
We got back to Independence and basically goofed off the rest of the day. A lot of drinking and bsing. I soaked my toe in epson salt after popping the blister. I've been keeping it clean, so I think I'm good to go. I'll be keeping it clean with baby wipes and I've got an antibiotic ointment for it. Hiking out tomorrow!
