I wasn't planning on taking a zero, but Don't Panic's little sister, Rachel, is coming tonight, and it will be nice to see her. Plus, I need to rest my feet after the pounding they took yesterday.
I didn't do a whole lot today. I messed around with my bounce box and figured out what I would be sending home. My cookpot, my stove, my maps of the JMT, stuff like that. I'm debating whether to go into Bridgeport or not. If I do, I only need 3-4 days worth of food, and I can send my ice axe and bear canister home. But, the hitch can be difficult, and I don't want to spend more time in town. I'm thinking of going all the way to Echo Lake, which would require eight days of food, and I have to carry the canister all that way. But, if I'm there when Huff 'N' Puff is there, I could take more zero days. Hmmmm.... choices.

Tooooo funny, I just hiked the JMT, we spent this same night in Tuolumne and I met Rachel!!!!
Got to hang out around a fire with her, her brother and some people from one of the trail crews working in the area!
Wish we could have crossed paths.
I'm blogging my trail journal and pictures from my through hike of the JMT starting tonight at http://blog.halbergphotographers.com
