Leaving Mammoth Lake proved difficult. Especially when you wake up in a dark room in a comfortable bed. Eventually I did get out, and DP and I waited for a shuttle to Reds Meadow. We took some pictures with the Mammoth Statue while we waited, then watched all of the day trippers. It's funny to now be able to see all of the unnecessary crap that people bring with them.
We decided to take the JMT route instead of the PCT, because we got to go by Devil's Postpile, a cool rock formation, and we got to go by some very lovely lakes. We were trying to get to Thousand Island Lake, but only managed to get to Garnet Lake. It was very pretty, and not very garnet-y.
My feet are really sore, and I think it's because of all the rocks on the trail. Someone should clean them up.
