I woke up hungover. It's been a long time since that's happened, too. I walked over to a gas station and picked up a tomato juice and three huge bottles of Gatorade. I walked back to the motel, handed one of my bottles over to Pat (because he jokingly said I bought it for him), then downed the rest.
I got my stuff ready and didn't want to wait for everyone else. I left with Forager and Jammer to find food. We went to the Kopper Kettle, where we ate yesterday, but they were packed! Forgot it's the weekend. So we wandered across the street to a place that had just opened for lunch and got some food there. Felt much better after that. Then we went next door to the motel the other two had stayed and the owner gave us and Pat and Wild Child a ride to the trail. Good thing too, since we didn't come off the trail here, so I had no idea where it was.
We started alking and I was sweating alcohol. It really wasn't much fun, but apparently I was doing better than some others, particularly Pat. We had only gone 1.5 miles when Forager suggested we get to the spring ahead and camp there. That meant going only three miles. Oh well, made for an easy day tomorrow to Drakesbad. So that's what we did, went three miles then camped out. Felt nice to just lie around. At least I got out of town.
